PETRONAS Twin Towers
Soaring high at 452 metres and standing majestically against Kuala Lumpur’s skyline, the PETRONAS Twin Towers - the tallest twin towers in the world is definitely a must-visit when in the city. Designed by Cesar Pelli and Associates, the architectural elements of the 88-storey towers feature the Islamic geometric patterns where two interlocking squares form a shape of eight-pointed stars, representing unity, harmony, stability and rationality. Linked by a 170-metre sky bridge at levels 41 and 42, it symbolises a gateway to the development.
For the interior, the lobby design incorporates contemporary Malaysian motifs adapted from traditional handicrafts such as the Songket and timber carvings. The towers’ design are high-tech yet distinctively Malaysian, winning numerous awards including the Aga Khan Award for Architecture and the FIABCI Prix de Excellence Award.
Enjoy a birds’ eye view of captivating, cosmopolitan Kuala Lumpur - be it from the Skybridge at Level 41 or the Observation Deck at Level 86 of the PETRONAS Twin Towers.
