
Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO), led by Music Director Junichi Hirokami, will perform “Memoirs of a Floral Fantasy” on Saturday, 7 February 2026 at 8:00 pm at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP), KLCC.
The programme features the Southeast Asia premiere of two works by Japanese composer Takashi Yoshimatsu:
White Landscapes – a meditative orchestral piece inspired by snowy scenery.
Piano Concerto Op. 67 – Memo Flora – a neo-romantic work symbolizing spring, performed by 7-year-old Japanese piano prodigy Yukine Kuroki.
The concert concludes with Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 3 in A minor, a richly expressive romantic symphony.
