The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) will celebrate Mozart’s 270th birthday with a special concert on Tuesday, 27 January 2026 at 8:00 pm at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS, KLCC. Renowned as one of history’s greatest composers, Mozart created symphonies, operas, and piano works from a very young age, and his music remains widely performed and recorded today. The tribute concert, led by MPO violinist Peter Daniš and featuring violist Jebat Arjuna Kee Jia Liang, will include the Overture to The Magic Flute, Eine kleine Nachtmusik, the rare Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola, and Symphony No. 29 in A. This follows a prelude event on 10 January, Amadeus Live, where the MPO accompanied a screening of the award-winning film Amadeus.
