The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) warmly welcomes you to be part of its first ever Benefit Concert (‘Resonance for a Reason’) on Saturday, 9 November 2024 at 8.30 pm at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP), KLCC.
This special concert will be a momentous evening of music, philanthropy and nation-building. As the country’s beacon of music excellence, the MPO is more than just an orchestra and plays more than just music; it serves its role in developing new talents towards shaping a brighter music future for Malaysia through the expertise and transfer-of-knowledge by its dedicated musicians. The MPO aims is to nurture the music appreciation among our youth and promote classical and local music to audiences of all walks of life.
Through this Benefit Concert, the MPO hopes to raise awareness towards its talent development programme and its role to support local talents, providing continuous mentorship and guidance. This concert calls for support towards the sustainability of the development programme so that together, we unite, inspire and transform the landscape of the arts through the power of great music as a catalyst for cultural enrichment.
Featuring award-winning performers such as Dato’ M Nasir, Dato’ Sheila Majid, Misha Omar, Aina Abdul and Amir Jahari, this concert will witness the MPO’s remarkable artistry that has been lauded since its inception in 1998.
Under the baton of Ahmad Muriz Che Rose, this concert will also feature the talents of the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO), the product of the MPO’s dedication and commitment towards supporting local musicians.
