The Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO) will present Contours of Classical Beauty on Wednesday, 15 April 2026 at 8.00 pm at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS, KLCC, under the baton of Gerard Salonga. The programme features beloved classical works including Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.19 (first movement), Overture to The Magic Flute and Symphony No.39, alongside Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.1 (third movement).
The concert highlights the artistic excellence of MPYO, nurtured through intensive coaching and mentorship by musicians of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra as part of its community outreach initiative. The performance will feature two outstanding young
pianists, 12-year-old Lim Yee Vaine and 17-year-old Dorothy Ong Zhuo En, both of whom have garnered international recognition for their musical achievements. Tickets range from RM25 (students) to RM150 (suite seats).
