    Led by conductor Ahmad Muriz Che Rose, the concert brings together a stellar lineup of artists including Khadijah Ibrahim, Salamiah Hassan, Asmidar and Shiha Zikir.     The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra presents Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert, a spectacular live-to-film experience featuring the complete screening of Star Wars: A New Hope accompanied by John Williams’ iconic, Oscar®-winning score performed live. Under the baton of Gerard Salonga, this immersive concert takes place at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS on 3 May 2026 (3.00 pm) and 4 May 2026 (8.00 pm).

    For over four decades, the Star Wars saga has captivated audiences worldwide with its timeless storytelling, unforgettable characters, and groundbreaking music. This concert brings the epic journey of Luke Skywalker—from a desert planet to a galaxy-defining hero — to life in a powerful symphonic setting, offering fans a truly cinematic and musical experience.

    An Evening of Verdi’s Masterpieces with MPO at DFP!

Led by Music Director Junichi Hirokami, the programme features excerpts from Nabucco, Rigoletto, La forza del destino, Un ballo in maschera and a second half devoted to La traviata. Guest artists include soprano Venera Gimadieva (MPO debut) and returning tenor Diego Torre.
